Introducing Favicon FP Suite for FlatPress: A One‑Stop Favicon Generator Built From Real‑World Frustration

Anyone who has ever tried generating a complete favicon set online knows how messy the process can be. Some tools claim to be “free,” but only give you a couple of the required images. Others hide essential formats behind paywalls. And even the paid generators often feel clunky, outdated, or incomplete. After bouncing between multiple sites and still ending up unsure whether the icons were correct for all browsers and devices, it became clear: a simpler solution was needed.

That’s why I created Favicon FP Suite, a plugin that provides a complete favicon and app icon system for FlatPress. It includes:

• PNG icon generation (16, 32, 48, 180, 192, 512)
• Automatic favicon.ico generation
• A standalone admin page
• A dynamic manifest.json generator
• Custom icon storage
• Reset and regeneration tools

This plugin replaces the need for external favicon generators and ensures consistent icon behavior across browsers and devices.

How to Use

1. Upload a PNG file (preferably 512×512 or larger).
2. The plugin generates all required PNG sizes.
3. The plugin generates a favicon.ico file.
4. The plugin updates the dynamic manifest.json output.
5. Your site immediately begins using the new icons.

Important Compatibility Note
To ensure everything works smoothly, please disable any other favicon‑related FlatPress plugins before using Favicon Suite. This prevents conflicts and ensures your icons are applied cleanly.
